Celebrate Labor Day by not working!

Close down, Log Out, Switch off, Relax and Boat….

President Abraham Lincoln once said that “Labor is the superior of capitol” and boy did he get that right. As all the hardworking folks who dock at Romp’s can attest, this weekend is well deserved time off from the daily grind and, more importantly, time to relax and have some fun.

Labor Day also brings with it a change in seasons at our home-port. This will be the last weekend of the season for the pool as it closes for the year on Tuesday Sept 4th. So we hope you get out and make a splash!

Finally, we also have to add that Putter-Port will be open from 1pm to 10pm Sat-Sun-Mon this weekend, then will close for the season as well. So now is the time to get the crew onto the back 9.

Whether your just chill’n or grill’n…

We hope you enjoy your weekend at your Family Fun Marina.  We hope to see you dockside!

Water you waiting for?

We have had another sunny August week as temps have hovered right in the 80’s, which means anglers have made some more progress getting those freezers stocked full of some choice Walleye. Next up, we are hoping that a record Walleye haul will be followed with a great perch season, the only problem is there enough tarter sauce?

Big Walleye

When the catch of the day is done, just relax at the dock…

The forecast for the weekend does call for some spotty showers, so bring along the rain slicker just in case. For the most part we have been very fortunate as the later part of the summer has left us with some dazzling evening light shows, with towering effects.

Flip Flop to the dock…

One of our favorite things is seeing long time docker Bob and his dockside blender go to work, just another way to beat the heat and spend some time with friends at your homeport.

First up…Environmental Studies.

Of course we know that the “Back to School’ season will soon be upon us, but long before that happens the kids can get quite an education just by getting some fresh air and interacting with nature. How about aquatic studies say in a nice refreshing lake?

Our uniform policy means causal dress and no shoes required…

Everyone will be stuck indoors soon enough, so why not get outside and load up on the sunshine while it lasts. Now is the time to make some lasting memories with family and friends.

Operation Open Heart and Romp’s a decades long tradition…

We also had a chance to catch up with our friends from Operation Open Heart as they visited Putter-Port this week, as you can see it was a very active day with some fierce competition on the links. Best of all was the very high “Smiles per hour” rating we received. Thanking everyone who contributes to this great day.
