Start Safe this year!

With Memorial Weekend fast approaching we are still in full launch mode here at the marina as we get the last of the boats in the water. One of the things you notice when you launch 250 or so boats is that many captains need to review their gear and most importantly their safety equipment.

safetyck

With that in mind we have asked our good friend and Vermilion Power Squadron officer Bob Moss to lend a hand this Saturday. Bob is going to provide free safety inspections to make sure you and your crew start the season out in the best way possible. So check in Saturday between 10am – 2pm, and get your vessel all checked out.

Fun Floats!…We uncover the pool, another step on the path to summer.

This week we finally got a taste of what’s ahead as we woke up to temps in the lower 80′s Thursday. While it was short lived, we certainly took advantage of the warmth and sunshine to uncover the pool and get it started.

You never know what sneaky thing winter has done until the pool cover comes off. Low and Behold the water looked as pristine as when it went to bed last fall.  So pretty soon we will have it looking just like the picture below from last summer.
